"This place is awesome! We visited after a recommendation from a waitress at a local dinner spot. She said Chuck’s had the best homemade ice cream in the area. She was spot on! Chuck’s had amazing flavors, great selection and a wide array of both homemade ice cream and homemade candies. We even met Chuck! His creativity and experience with combining flavors and creating new items was evident. They even have marvelous birthday cakes! When in the Southport area… Chuck’s is a must try!!"

"Great ice cream, candy, fudge and chocolate shop. Door on the left is ice cream and fudge while door on the right is chocolate and candy. Entire shop is connected in the back of the store. We tried the ice cream. It is good, creamy and well made. I agree with other reviewers, the servings are on the small side but the quality is better than a dairy queen or other large chain. We had 3 orders of 2 scoops for $18."

"Chucks has a huge variety of ice cream flavors. They have both homemade ice cream and soft serve. They even have chocolate and strawberry hard shell and homemade cones. They make ice cream pies and cakes and honey roasted nuts. There is a candy section and crochet blankets. Lots of fun things."

"OH MY Gosh, Chuck’s is the Best Ice Cream I have ever had - in 60 years! The pistachio is WOW plus the new Bourbon Maple. Wonderful staff also. I give them a 10 plus!!!!"

"We stopped in for some ice cream and ended up with two banana splits! I asked for some changes from the normal mix of banana split items, and they were happy to do it. And boy, were they delicious! Chuck’s has every flavor of ice cream that you can imagine, and lots more. Whether you want a scoop, a cone, a milkshake or any other kind of treat, this is the best place to go in Southport!"

"I'd give Chucks 6 stars if I could Staff were all very friendly and helpful I had the coffee mud pie, which I was told was a favorite there. It was very delicious! Very glad I tried it. I did also meet Chuck while I was there. Could not be a better guy! He shared the story of where the coffee mud pie idea came from. Definitely the type of person you want to support! They also have a variety of other sweets, fudge, and candies"

"I never thought Willy Wonka was a real person until going into this place and meeting the owner. This is someone who takes pride in his craft and creating sweets. He noted he tries every ice cream and sweet he makes. I believe it. With everything so corperate and cold this place brings a bit of sweetness back into the world. Definitely stop by to find every chocolate and treat under the sun for a great price."
